Prof. Dr. Maja Todorović Izquierdo is a transdisciplinary researcher, professor, and author bridging the fields of architecture, psychology, and indigenous knowledge systems.
She holds a PhD in Architecture with a dissertation on nature and mysticism in architectural materialization. She earned master's degrees in Biotechnical Sciences and Art History, Landscape Architecture and Urbanism, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. She is currently completing postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychology and Transpersonal Psychotherapy.
She is the European representative of Landscape Architects Without Borders (IFLA Europe) and a co-author of Serbia's first academic book on psychedelics, integrating medical, philosophical, and indigenous perspectives.
With over 70 landscape and urban design projects completed, her emphasis lies on healing environments and ecological urbanism. Her current research explores neuroarchitecture in consciousness studies and the integration of Amazonian ceremonial design into contemporary therapeutic spaces.
